Graduation.....

Vitamin C - Graduation

And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same

But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day

Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound
And I keep thinking of that night in June
I didn't know much of love
But it came too soon

And there was me and you
And then we got real cool
Stay at home talking on the telephone with me
We'd get so excited, we'd get so scared
Laughing at ourselves thinking life's not fair
And this is how it feels

As we go on we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be Friends Forever

So if we get the big jobs and we make the big money
When we look back now will our jokes still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule

Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man?
Can we ever find a job that won't interfere with a tan?
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
And this is how it feels

As we go on we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be Friends Forever

La, la, la, la

Yeah, yeah, yeah

La, la, la, la

We will still be friends forever

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there?
Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men

Will the past be a shadow that will follow us 'round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

As we go on we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be Friends Forever

As we go on we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be Friends Forever

As we go on we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be Friends Forever

NOooo!!! My Eyes & Brain are Damaged!!

"To do SAT alone is already one hell of a problem (for me). And now you want us to do it using the PC!? OMG!!"
That is what I had in mind when Yu Jin asked us to go to ITMS to get the "feel" of SAT exam.

Staring at the screen of the pc, I read...and read...and read...the sentences...the (LONG!!) passages...and answer the questions that follows.
*My mind went blurred*-_-

Only one thing I could say bout it; it's damn TIRING!!! I spend a lot of time reading the passages trying to understand what the author was trying to potray/convey. Guess what!?

I DONT UNDERSTAND one HELL of a thing I read.
Why did that happen??
What happened was: my eyes got itchy and turned red as I didnt wear my specs that day. hehe..:p

I lost focus in the process of answering the questions. I had a headache. I felt as if my head was gonna explode any time soon like a timed-bomb...(KABOOM!!)
I felt so tensed up to the extent that I feel like "tikam/tembak" all the answers..;p
..............
I didnt get good scores. I screwed up the practice test. It was really a bad day for me..huhu

But, honestly, it's not just because I had headache nor because my eyes were itchy that I didnt do well that day; it's because I AM weak in CR. I find it difficult to digest even the simplest thing in CR because the level is wayyyyyy beyond my reach. My vocabs is not wide enough as I dont really like READING!! It's just not my thing.:(

So, my piece of advice to all:

1. PLEASE 3x...READ A LOT!!
-Find materials that can help you improve your English. Read a lot of novels that use English of such level. For further info bout the novel (what novels are good etc), you may ask Hidayah..hehe:p

2. PRACTICE!!
-Practice makes perfect.:D Only by practicing and I mean a LOT of 'em, you will get the "feel" of SAT exam and be able to cope with it during the actual exam..

3.....(do i have anything else in mind??)
Hurmmm...i guess not..I'll update again some other time when I have other things in mind that I wanna share..

Till next time..adios..

fun with SAT??

people who know what SAT is would probably kill me due to the topic of this post..

My first SAT attempt is the number one regret in my life. It's not that i regret taking the test,  but i regret going into the room unprepared, especially in the lethal critical reading section.
i felt sad to think that we didn't have a really proper exposure on the critical reading section, no one taught us the skills, no one gave us any methods to solve the questions, all we had were blue collegeboard books to figure out what CR is.. With that little knowledge of what CR is, we did our first SAT attempt . It was very frustrating to have read throughout the passage, when in the end you realized that you don't understand it at all and you only have little time left to answer the questions. The sentence completion which test on the vocabulary, really irritate me and i left most of the vocab questions blank so that my marks won't get deducted.

As for the writing section, i wish i could turn back the clock and practice more on my grammar. Although we had a lecturer to teach us writing, the class only covered the essay part and not the grammar part which i believe needs more improvement on. The essay part was fun because it was very subjective. It's actually how you conveyed your idea in the essay.

The math section was the easiest section, i actually enjoyed doing math as i can relax my mind after answering the writing and the head-cracking CR part. Math needs a LOT of practice, if you did enough practice , i don't think 800 is a problem.

Although most of the jpa scholars think that the sime darby scholars will not face any problems on the SAT 2nd attempt, I personally feel that we still have a lot of flaws that need to be addressed.

SAT Examination

June 6th, 09, Saturday

The date of our (SD scholars) SAT examination. The day we wished we could repeat. The day we wish we were better prepared for....

Here's a bit of my experience taking the SAT examination that I would like to share with all. Hopefully anyone reading this blog would find it useful.

For me, the SAT examination is somewhat damn difficult, especially the Critical Reading and the Essay part (but not the Math part:)) for my weakness is in English language. Taking the SAT exam without a good preparation; I would consider as suicide.

For the past 3 months before the exam day, I did not had enough practices for the Critical Reading and Writing. Yes, we (SD scholars) do have lecturer for SAT Writing but the thing is: we were so focused on the essay, and essay alone that we (or rather, I) sort of "completely" ignored/forgotten about the other parts of the Writing section (grammar etc.). So, during the exam day, I sort of went through hell for not having a proper preparation.

As for the Critical Reading...yeah...that is another hell I went through. The vocabulary was too high, the passage was too long & difficult to cope with (that is for me. Again as I said earlier, my English sucks). I had headache reading the passage, trying to understand wth is the author trying to convey....

I R.E.A.L.L.Y. wish I was more prepared that day. I really wish I had a lecturer to help & guide me along the way. I really wish I did more SAT practices...*sigh*

*I'll update this CR & Writing with further details later, this is just sort of intro. Hope that those reading this would find it useful..:p*
